Angel Perez was born a US Citizen in the American territory of Puerto Rico. Perez has called Denton home since 2016 and since then Mr. Perez being working for the well being of Denton and Caroline County community.
Recognized as the Caroline County Citizen of the Year 2020, Caliber Award Mary Beth Brennaman 2022 and Jefferson Award for Public Service 2022.
For the past 10 years Mr. Perez has worked tirelessly to positively impact the Denton community through programs,
community services, family events and more.
A member of multiple civic organizations, you’ll always find Mr. Perez working together with other people to make
Denton a vibrant town for all.

What I Propose
Our police department is a key and important part of ensuring the safety of all citizens of our town. As a council member I will look for alternatives to help and assist the police department in creating bridges of communication and community programs to strengthen the relationship of the Denton Police Department with our community.
For the past 10 years my work has been focused on seeking the well-being and impacting our youth in a positive way through different programs and community services. As a council member I will seek to create collaborations and build bridges of communication with different organizations to create, promote and expand programs that help our young people reach their potential.
Our small businesses are the engine and heart of our community. Creating opportunities that encourage economic development in our town will be one of my priorities by developing a plan of direct communication with small business owners providing them with help and support. I will also provide support and assistance to the Downtown Main Street office.
Citizen participation in decision making is vital, for this as a council member I will create bridges of communication with the community through different platforms including: social media, community conversations among others to encourage citizen participation in decision making processes during town meetings. In addition, this will serve as opportunities where citizens can obtain information about the processes that will be taken in specific situations so that they are informed or can express their concerns and/or opinions on the matter.
Our town is full of history and art. Creating collaborations with organizations that showcase art and history in our town is essential to expand, promote, and highlight the arts and history district in our town by providing them with the necessary support. Thus making our town, art, and history enjoyed by visitors and citizens.
